Silver Tongue is a monthly reading series hosted by Columbia College Chicago. Anything including words tends to be accepted, be it prose, poetry, beatboxing.
SilverTongue publishes Mad Licks, a print zine, every semester that caters to anything with words. Edited by Columbia College Chicago students Mad Licks focuses on the mini-zine, not only trying to include quality stories, but quality design, trying to create a complete package that looks slick and entertains.
There’s no reason words can’t be pretty.
Silver Tongue has helped facilitate Chicago Zine Fest’s Friday Panel. This year’s panel “Writing about Health, Disability, and Accessibility in Zines: A Panel with Kerri Radley, Maranda Elizabeth, and Dave Roche ” is taking place Friday. March 8 at the Conaway Center, Columbia College (1104 S Wabash) from 1 - 3 pm.
